"We played an incredible first 30 minutes, then let up a bit before the half," said Head Coach Mike Moyer, "but a win is a win.  We certainly played entertaining soccer throughout the night.  It's good to have big Pete Rowley back in the lineup, and Max's hat trick was special.  We keep getting better every game, and the crowd was really behind the team tonight.  We're looking forward to the next four games."

REV NOTES:

• The Revs played a 4-4-2 for the first time all season
• Starting defender Mike Choiniere is out for the season with severe ankle damage
• 6'4" Forward Pete Rowley played 68 minutes and scored a goal in his first appearance since going down with a hamstring injury 15 minutes into game #1
• The Revs have scored 6 goals and are 1-1-1, since moving captain Eric Puls to the back line
• Max Ferdinand continues to dazzle the fans and opponents with his speed, quickness, skill and creativity - Ferdinand scored his first two goals in a 10 minute span from the right midfield position
• Ferdinand leads the team in scoring with 5 goals
• Midfielder Rick Duroseau did not dress because of an injured toe
• The game's start was delayed because the referee would not allow the game to be played because of the placement of the team benches - Teams will be sitting in the stands (similar to Old Trafford) for the remaining two home games.
  
• Pocono Snow defender Roy Thompson was red carded in the 53rd minute
• FCR Goalkeeper Rich Kessler was called to make only one save during the game

"The boys are coming together," said Moyer.  "We are ecstatic with tonight's win, and the players are very happy.  We also know that we can do much better on the defensive side of things.  Our players are fun to watch, especially Max...he is an incredible talent.  Once we were up a man, Pulsy took care of controlling the pace of the game, and we closed it out for the win.  Hopefully we can take care of the next four games as our momentum and confidence continues to rise.  Having big Pete Rowley in the lineup makes a huge difference.  His presence gives other players more freedom, and it showed tonight.  Overall, I didn't think we played particularly well, but we did score some fantastic goals, and we jumped on them early.  Progression is what we're all about, and I think we're moving in a very positive direction.  We are by far the youngest team in the league, and this experience will only make us better for future games and seasons.  The fans were awesome tonight, hopefully they'll continue to be such great supporters."
