F.C. Revolution

Head Coach Mike Moyer expressed his satisfaction with the first game in history for the FC Reading Revolution Men's Team.  Goalkeeper Rich Kessler named Man of the Match.

"No one expected big Pete Rowley to go down with an injury in the first 15 minutes," said Head Coach Mike Moyer.  "But, the boys responded well until the 43rd minute with the first half goal.  We need to tighten things up defensively, because we definitely have some issues there.  I'm hoping for a better result at Charm City FC, but we must commit to the defensive side of the ball, or the negative results will continue.  We are committed to playing young local players, so we have to be patient.  We had some good opportunities to tie the game, but the bottom line in soccer is, you have to score goals.  I was extremely impressed with the quality of our opponent - Buffalo City FC.  Overall, we played an exciting brand of soccer, and things can only get better. More importantly, Max Ferdinand, Pete Rowley and Gibrilla Conde were identified by scout Mike Share as players of interest for Europe!"
