Rangers are 2011 Red Rose Champs!!!!

Coach Jim with his champion Rangers

After winning their group with an impressive 3-0 record and outscoring their opponents 10-4, the Rangers dominated the championship game from whistle to whistle and posted a convincing 6-1 win over Fusion. Playing in the top bracket, the Rangers posted 16 goals while yielding only 5. Coach Jim brought out their "A" game when it mattered most, and the Rangers played an almost perfect championship game. Congratulations to Coach Jim and the Rangers they certainly earned it.

EPYSA STATE CUP

RANGERS ADVANCE OUT OF GROUP!! After 2 wins on Saturday, the Rangers move on to the quarterfinals to play Lower Merion. Well done.

Who Is That Team???

Throughout the EPYSA Indoor Cup a common question heard in the crowds of onlookers was, "who is that team?" The Rangers played an ultra competitive field with a commanding win over the Ukrainian Nationals: one of Pa.'s strongest U10 teams, to make it into the semi-finals. The semi-final game against the Lower Merion Quick Boys had the Rangers playing yet another of Pa.'s best U10 teams and the Rangers played their hearts out till the end of a 4-2 loss. Congratulations Rangers on an electrifying tournament!

Rangers are Finalists at the Delco U10 Boys Championship Game

FC Revolution Rangers are Delco Fall League U10 Finalists

The Rangers fought the good fight at the Delco Fall League U10 Championship game in Malvern Sunday afternoon. The Rangers outpaced, out-skilled and possessed the ball for 75% of the game. One long ball led to the games only goal by Haverford. One was enough on a day where the ball just couldn't find the inside of the net for either team until the games last three minutes. The final score 1-0. The Rangers overpowered, outscored, outskilled and outplayed every opponent all season long to the tune of 55 goals scored and only 13 allowed. The Rangers finished with a 10-1-1 record. Yeah, they are that good.  As Coach Jim Borden said after the game, " these players show up at every practice and every game ready to play. They play hard and they leave the field smiling...you have to kick them off the field because they just want to keep playing soccer."

In the end, neither this Delco championship game, nor the result of the game define this team and the tremendous talent of each and every one of the players. The way they play the game, and the skill they possess at such a young age, is what defines the Rangers. The Rangers learned one of competitions toughest lessons; sometimes the best teams lose a game. That lesson however, will without a doubt only make the Rangers a stronger team.

Back In The Hunt This Saturday at the Delco Semi-Finals

Delco Soccer League

Come check out the Rangers this Saturday at the Evergreen Club's Upper Field at 12:00 p.m. (kickoff). The Rangers are taking the pitch against Brandywine Soccer Club Saturday in Fleetwood for what's sure to be some great playoff soccer.

The Rangers come into Saturdays game with an undefeated record of 8-0-1. If you haven't already heard, the boys (and Gia Vicari--thanks Gia!) had a scintillating season with 53 goals scored and only 12 allowed. Fast paced, gritty, and always entertaining, the Rangers are one team you have got to see play!

RANGERS ARE FINALSTS AT SPIRIT UNITED KICK OFF CLASSIC

The Rangers U10 Rangers played great soccer this weekend at the Spirit United Kickoff Classic and finished as Finalists for the tournament. The Rangers dominated the pitch with good ball movement and some seriously awesome passing that resulted in a 3-1 record. Josh Daniels led the scoring with 6 goals. Also scoring goals were Jordy Guzman, Giovanni Arana, Gia Vicari, Payton Rowe and Pietro Elliott. Outstanding midfield and fullback play from Matt Noll, Logan Peters, Julian Sarlat and Alex Williams cemented each win as the backs hustled and stopped the few attacks that made it through the midfield. Special thanks to Lucas Santos for excellent work in the goal. The Rangers rebounded quickly from the Mid-Atlantic tournament and showed their fighting spirit throughout the weekend. That means we are all in for some great soccer in the coming months! The Rangers are setting their sights on the Keystone Cup in September, and it's a safe bet it will be a blast for everyone. Not pictured are Alex Williams and Pietro Elliott.

U9 RANGERS THRILL THE CROWD AT FC DELCO FINALS

U9 Ranger Pile.

For anyone that has not yet caught their breath from Monday's Championship game between the U9 Rangers and the tough South Jersey Elite soccer club, here are some shots from an incredible day of soccer. After dropping just one game 0-4 to SJ Elite in the semi-final just one day earlier, the Rangers brought their A-game with what is arguably the best soccer they have played all year. Tied scores, several lead changes, inexhaustible effort, passing with headers, sharp crosses, outstanding teamwork and just all-out heart. It was amazing to watch the Rangers play at such a high level and the parents, coaches, staff and fans could not be prouder of you. After two five minute overtime periods the game was to be determined by penalty kicks. SJ Elite won 5-4 on PK's. As Coach Jim Borden said, "nothing rattles these boys. They just keep playing, no matter what."  A thriliing game right up to the last second. And then, as the Rangers always do, they grab their gear, take a one last look around, look for their family and friends and leave the field with smiles on their faces.

The Rangers saved their best for last on this blazing hot Memorial Day weekend. And for that Rangers, we thank you.

Red Rose Classic

Uriel has skills!!!

The Rangers had a good showing at the Red Rose Classic going 1-1-1. The first game was a great display of skill and defense with a win over Pa Classics 5-3. The second game caught the Rangers off guard and while they fought back from a 3-0 deficit in the second half, they just ran out of time and finished with a loss 4-2 to Redlands who went on to win our bracket. Sundays game, the Ranger's third and final game, was a 3-3 tie with Reading Rage. Get them next time boys!

Rangers dominate the field at The Robert Urban Memorial Tournament

Robert Urban Memorial Soccer Tournament U9 Boys Champions

The FC Revolution Rangers played skillfully at both ends of the field scoring 15 goals while allowing only 3 goals. The results of this tremendous team effort coming at the end of a long day of soccer. The Rangers actually grew stronger in skill, speed and determination as the day grew longer. You did us all proud Rangers!

The Breakdown:

  • GAME ONE:  vs. Nether Broncos  Rangers win 4-1
  • GAME TWO:  vs. WVSC  Rangers win  5-1
  • GAME THREE:  vs. Central Penn Rangers win 6-1

Congratulations Rangers on an incredible day of team work!
