Resides in Shilington, PA with his wife Dorothy Puls, their daughter Erica Puls and step children Anna and Preston. Eric's son Brayden lives in Orlando, FL.

My focus in coaching is challenging players and the way they think about the game and their approach to it. My goal for every player is to see them develop not only in talent but in attitude. To see a young player evolve into something more as a player as time moves on is very rewarding.

The success FC Revolution has had in such a short period of time is amazing. Entering only our fourth season, we have expanded from 3 teams in the inaugural year to 19 teams this year. The club has seen many teams in a short period of time, not only become highly ranked teams within the state of Pennsylvania, but also within the region as well. This has only been achieved through the efforts of many.

I am excited about the staff.  I have assembled an ODP level staff for the 2012 - 2013 season and I look forward to working with all of them. The coaching staff brings a wealth of coaching and playing experience to our club. All have been successful on the field as players and as coaches and I feel that is the cornerstone of this staff.

-Played 4 yrs. at Christian Brothers College High School class of 1989. Played from 1985 - 1988.
-Missouri State runners - up in 1985
-Missouri State Champions in 1988.
-All Metro and All - State selection in 1988.

College:

-Played 4 yrs. at Syracuse University
-NCAA Division I School, Big East Conference
-Holds the all time school record for most points by a freshman (27)
-2nd all time in goals scored by a freshman in a single season in 1989 (11)
-10th all time in career points (63).
-All New York Region selection in 1991.

Pro/Am:

-Played with Busch Soccer Club from age 11 - 18
-Runner - up finish in the U16 National Championship
-Four time state cup champions, region II champions.
-Played for Scott Gallagher U19, state cup champions.

-Played for Missouri State ODP U15 - 19

-Played pro soccer with SV Darmstadt 98 German 2nd Divison
-Played pro soccer with Rot - Weiss Waldorf, German 3rd Division.
-Played in 1995 with St. Louis Knights, USISL.
-Selected in the1996 Major League Soccer Inaugural Draft and signed by the Colorado Rapids.
-Played for the Reading Rage 1996 - 2003, USL D3 Pro League.
-Selected to the 1999, 2000 and 2003 USL D3 Pro Soccer All League Team while playing for the Reading Rage.
