U12 Girls Win Spirit United Tournament!

The  U12, 13, 15 and 16 girls' teams were accepted to play in the WAGS Tournament on Columbus Day weekend. The WAGS event is one of the most prestigious girls' tournaments in the country and attaining acceptance is an honor for any team.  Club founder Eric Puls commented,  " to attain acceptance for one team is great, but to get four teams into this event is something the entire club can be proud of.  It's not a suprise really, as we have one of the best girls' programs in the state.  We take a lot of pride in what we have done as a club, and are extremely proud of our girls program.  There should be no question as to where the top soccer players in the area should want to play."

As a highlight, the U16 girls will be playing in the WAGS college showcase at this event.  Coaches from the top women's college teams will be in attendance to watch some of the best talent in the country.  Eric Puls coaches the U13 and 16 teams. Mike Moyer coaches the U15's, and Jeff Koegel coaches the U12's. Congratulations to all coaches, players and parents.  GOOD LUCK! (August Training Sessions)

• THE SOCCER STOP:  We'd like to thank Judy and Matt at The Soccer Stop, for their hard work with our new adidas uniforms.The warm-ups and training gear will be arriving soon.  Remember, these "kits" are going to be worn for the next two seasons.  Soccer Stop will be delivering FC Revolution player discount cards to us in the near future.  All current FC Revolution players will receive a 10% discount on all in-store regularly priced items - (NOTE: Y-Premier players have already received their cards).

• FALL INSTRUCTIONAL ACADEMY:  We will be running a fall soccer academy for boys and girls ages 6 +, on the following Mondays - September 14, 21, 28, and October 5 from 5:30-67:30 pm..  There will be a free introductory clinic on Monday, August 31.  Please let your non-rev friends know about this unique opportunity.  All information is available on the web site.  (Note:  there is a discount for current FC players).
• NEW PLAYERS:  As a premier club, we are always looking for new players to help our teams.  We receive many calls and emails, but the best way to introduce these players to the club is by a recommendation from you.  If you know any interested players, please have them contact our office, so we can arrange a trial with the appropriate coach.
• REGISTRAR:  Jeff Koegel will continue to serve as the club registrar.  Please direct any registration questions to Jeff @ 610-927-6291.  Team managers are not permitted to give player passes to your son or daughter without permission from the club office.  Please contact us if you need your player pass.
• PARENT BEHAVIOR:  As a reminder, it is very important that we display proper behavior at all training sessions and games.  Premier players are expected to act differently, and so are parents of premier players.  NO MATTER HOW BAD A REFEREE MIGHT BE, WE WILL NOT ALLOW POOR BEHAVIOR OR SPORTSMANSHIP FROM PARENTS.  Knowledge of the game and good behavior on the sidelines is what sets our club apart from all others.  We must have a higher standard, and we appreciate your cooperation.  Coaches are instructed to inform us about any unfortunate incidents, and we will take action as needed.  Also, please do NOT instruct your child during games or training sessions.   Unlike any other sport, soccer is a game that requires players to make instant decisions during the run of play, and they should not be distracted with instructions or comments from anyone except the coach. 
• TRAINING SITE:  Shriner's is our main training site.  We're lucky to have a great relationship with their organization, and very happy with the field set-up and number of on site, full-sized goals.  Please make sure that all younger siblings are not playing in the parking lot.  There will be a lot of cars arriving and departing on a daily basis, and we must ensure everyone's safety.  The area on the opposite side of the parking lot (closest to the shed) is a safe area for younger children to play.
• HOME GAME VENUE:  Evergreen will be the home game complex, with the U9 and U10 teams playing on the upper field, and the U11 + teams on the lower field.  (Note: Some teams might be playing at Shriner's due to scheduling conflicts).  Parents are permitted to dine and drink at Evergreen without being members, but we recommend membership if possible.  The outdoor bar and pavilion is open on Fridays and Saturdays throughout September.
• INDOOR TRAINING:  All indoor training sessions will be held at the Grand Slam Sports Complex.
• FUTSAL LEAGUES & TOURNAMENTS:  The popular 3v3 futsal leagues and tournaments will be held at Grand Slam.  Please check the web site for dates and details.
• INDOOR TOUCHLINE LEAGUES:  For the 2nd consecutive year, we will be running touchline indoor soccer leagues at Grand Slam.  Registration information will be available in September.
• COLLEGE RECRUITING SEMINAR:   There will be a college recruiting seminar for our U15 - U18 teams at Alvernia University - details coming soon.
• COMMUNICATION LINK:  ALL 2009/2010 Players MUST REGISTER. This link is for direct communication purposes from the FC REVOLUTION Office, and will allow you to register up to 3 different email addresses for every player in the club. We will utilize this direct email list for monthly newsletters, updates, field/schedule changes or cancellations, and other important notices. Please make sure you choose the correct team when submitting your registration. (NOTE:  This registration link is on the FC TEAM Page.)
• FC REVOLUTION GEAR:  New FC gear will be available throughout the season.  Dorothy Puls will be taking orders at training sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays @ Shriner's. New orders must be placed by SEPTEMBER 4th.
